Together

A garden planted.
A man created and placed there
Alone.

No suitable helper in Eden’s paradise found.

Eve from Adam God created—a suitable helper for God’s gardener.
From one flesh He made another and two increased to
One.

Left alone,
Eve bought the lie from the Liar and ate his fruit—
Its tasty, beautiful flesh full of forbidden wisdom found and shared with Adam in paradise.
Adam ate so that Eve would not be
Alone.

Shame followed sin as it crept through the cool garden;
Waiting to be caught, it hid.
Hidden sin revealed—
Naked in paradise
Before a God seeking fellowship with His creation.
Bearing shame, sent from the garden into a world full of thorns and thistles,
Adam and Eve walked out alone—
Together.
